ARE YOU ANNOYED OR DO YOU HATE?

image

It’s one thing to be annoyed with somebody and it’s another thing to hate a person. With annoyance, we learn to let go and forgive but with HATE, there is a consistent irritation you when you see the person. The mere mention of their name makes you prickly, talk more of their presence.

Many of us Christians know how to quote and teach the word of God yet we HATE our fellow brethren. But the truth remains that we can never give valid reasons to God as to why we hate our brother and sister in Christ even if they aren’t in Christ. Some of us fake their happiness for others instead of dealing with the root cause of the problem. Sincerely, if we truthfully look in, we will find out out that we are not perfect and deserve the judgement we generously dish out to people.

HATE will create and initiate various means for us to destroy a person. But we must realize that if we don’t learn how to completely let go and forgive others, how then do we expect our creator to forgive us? If we have been broken more than we can bear, we should learn to surrender it to God who says “Vengeance is mine”. God is the perfect Judged and He knows how to make even the most heart hardened folk repent.

May God help us.

Signing out with love 💙❤💙✌

  1. When we realise how much grace and mercy we have received from God and that w shall continue to receive them, we will be in a better place to let go of hurt and just leave it all to God. People can really hurt us and traumatize us, but we must learn to Father’s arms and ask for healing and grace to forgive. This life…Lord have mercy. It is well in Jesus’ Name.

May God continue to help us to forgive. I have seen people filled with hate for another and I am left dumbfounded.

For some people, they are one and the same sadly enough.
I don’t think I have the capacity in me to hate anyone, no matter what they do.
I can get sad yeah, angry, but I don’t think I’ve ever hated anyone or anything, so it makes me really sad to know some people hate so easily..

Yep.. hate is out there.. I have witnessed with. And I ask myself if I can act like that or if ever I have acted like that.. but I know today how easily it is for me to let go of hurt and anger and am so grateful to God for that grace… and call attention to many of us, to really examine ourselves especially as believer in Christ I see practising more hate in church than you would imagine Nam… thanks so much for your contribution, God bless 😄😄

Oh I can’t tell you enough how much I love this! I wrote something with more or less the same message (just a bit more emotional as it was triggered by a conversation with someone I know and once respected but lost all of my respect for…): https://amommasview.wordpress.com/2016/06/22/wolf-in-sheep-clothing/
I came over to check your blog out as a fellow nominee of omctips award nomination.
This is a great post. A great message. Hate is a very strong feeling. Just like love. I believe that we often mistake hate with dislike as if we truly hate it’s powerful and deep. Just like love. So you truly have to invest yourself to hate as much as you have to to love.

  6. I love this post. It’s the best real life application of 1 John 4:20 that I’ve seen in a long time.
John takes it one step further though– he writes: ” Those who say, “I love God,” and hate their brothers or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen.” (NRSV)

The better that I come to know God, the less tolerance I have for hatred. It’s anti-God. And it’s never warranted, as you have so eloquently written here.

I thought I was immune to hate. I ‘hate’ that I find the root of such an abomination in my own self. I want to hate the haters, lol! But that isn’t God’s response, so it cannot be mine.

Bless you for sharing this profound truth today.

    Peace:)

True surrender is just another name of knowing all fellow beings are sons n daughters of the one and only supreme father.lovely Grace.Blessings.chinonye Ifezue!
