Becky – 24, beautiful, intelligent, ambitious, easy going- had gone through series of failed friendships! The gossip of old acquaintances made her infamous. she was easily condemned by people she knew nothing about. When she shopped around malls, attended lectures, wherever the place, people hissed at each other and flinched their nose to belittle her. One would think she committed a huge crime for which she must endure exclusion whereas it was only a health flaw that made people hard-hearted. You see, no weather could calmed her pituitary glands. So she always took her bath three times daily and spent her money shopping for prescribed deodorants, dark cloths and perfumes. Summer days were the worst, it brought with it psychological trauma. When she narrated all she had gone through, I came to the conclusion that people’s actions toward her were out of share ignorance. More so, hating and excluding her was the route frustrated people took to make her life miserable. You see, something about her stood out, it was hard to place but her uniqueness was undeniable. More like a god walking among men. Her simplicity, modesty, honesty, sense of justice, affections, reasoning was enviable. Her warmth was felt within the slightest conversation she had and she had a lovely flowery scent. However, her smile eroded over the years. I don’t blame her at all. The good thing about it was that the more they hated, the more she got blessed. As though her God was making a bold statement! Her worth can only be found in Him not them.

She told me that…

I can imagine. It can be hard for external parties to relate with her but her friends should do better to her

Yes… I guess it was ‘friendship’ that ruined her name in the first place. Thanks Dabs! 🏵🌼
